As a community club, our continued success is dependent on volunteers making their time available to keep the club running and there are many ways members can get involved.
Volunteering is great fun because your contributing to the community and making a difference!! All members are expected to do their bit to share the load, “many hands make light work”. “It’s Our Club after all, how can you give a dam and lend a hand?”
What Can I Do?
Most people have work and family or other commitments and the club is happy for you to suggest ways you could contribute. Everyone has skills and talents to offer!! If your injured or recovering from an event is a great time to offer your services.
Traralgon Harriers is a large club which provides many events and services to it’s members and the community throughout the year. We always need people to help with races and social events, to set up or pack away, clean up, with catering, assisting the race directors with a key role, as marshals at drink stations or key points on the route, taking photos, timing, writing articles for the news paper, newsletter and the website, social and Thursday duty rosters, etc. The club has a number of committees who are always looking for people to help refer to our club structure.

Our events are all provided by volunteers which means we can keep the costs to a minimum and the events are well managed by runners for runners so they know what the participants need.
There are unlimited opportunities for people to help out around the club. Any help that you can offer will be greatly appreciated!! Talk to any of the committee members to see how you can get involved.
Please give a helping hand? Just like the friendly Tania Whitehead
