RESULTS OF THE EVENT HELD ON THURSDAY 18th APRIL
Thursday saw the Harriers head to Newborough Athletic Track for a championship run. This run is typically a good opportunity for athletes to get an accurate representation of their best 5km time, with the flat, track surface causing no obstacles.
Molly Irvine and Sarah Lewis ran impressive sub 20 minute times to be the fastest women on the night. Karen Graham was the third fastest woman with a time of 21:44.
For the men, Michael Tripodi ran a speedy 17:06, followed closely by Duncan’s Run 100km winner Zach Beasley, and Glenn Graham (18:28).
There were also some good personal times in the second group, a standout being Georgia Pearson (22:28) who has only recently returned to running, while in a close tussle, Barry Higgins and Michelle Colwell crossed the line together in 30:50.
Only one junior ran the 2km, but Miles Verschuur’s 06:59 is certainly worth a mention.
