Last Thursday’s Traralgon Harriers run was the Breed Street 5km run. The run, starting behind Agnes Brereton Reserve, follows the same path as the Parkrun course for it’s first kilometre, then continues to the top of Bradman boulevard and around St Georges road, for an out-and-back affair.
Finishing first on handicap for the night was Michael Walker (25:26), ahead by 9 seconds from last week’s winner Anne Bomers (33:35). Third place was taken out by Jason Irvine (26:09).
The fastest outright female on the night was Courtney Wallace-Smith (22:59) in an impressive time after returning from injury. Karen Graham (23:44) and Liz Kenney (24:35) were the next quickest.
The fastest outright males were spearheaded, yet again by Glenn Graham (19:42) with wingman Biasi Silvestro (20:12) not far behind in second place. Returning to form was Bryan Cake (22:41) who was the third quickest male on the night.
Tonight’s run (Thursday 20th) is the Independent Way 6km course, starting on the Corner of Grubb Ave and Cross’s Road Traralgon, with Intermediate 3.5km and Junior 1.2km options. Visit TraralgonHarriers.org.au for additional information and upcoming events.
