Traralgon Harriers Race Report 03.12.15
The Traralgon Glenview Park Racecourse run is a crowd favourite, this week 40 runners took on the 5 km course. It was a beautiful warm, sunny night for the run which took in the sights of the Traralgon Racecourse, Ellavale Estate, Melrossa Road and McNairn Road.
If you have ever thought about having a go on a Thursday night, the summer series is the best time to start. This week’s run is at Cochranes Road, if you are in training for one of the events at Duncan’s Run 100 on the 19th December then this one is a must. This course has a fantastic hill climb at the start, followed by an undulating scenic run through plantation and bush.
The fastest three men on the night were Riley Evans, Ian Cornthwaite and Glenn Graham who came home with times of 17.39, 18.43, and 19.21, respectively. The women were Hilary Meyer in 21.55, Jenny Northe in 22.37 and Karen Graham a time of 22.40.
